Positive: The staff were nice, and really liked to chat. The bed was clean, and theres a kitchen and TV inside you can use if you'd like. There are also some students from. The nearby university living there, so that's a great opportunity to practice your portugese if you speak it! Theres also a pet dog and cat on site, who were both very friendly, but be aware I'd you're allergic.

Negative: Theres no AC (which I knew when making the booking), but the fan they provided was a little loud, even on the slowest setting. Earplugs helped, but just be aware of this. Also, the location is on a one lane street, so if you're taking an uber, be careful you don't hit the car door on the wall or gate. I found it easier to asked to be dropped at the corner on the main road, and walk the 100m up to the hostel.
