Summary: We had an incredible stay at La Casona & would return without hesitation. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt peaceful and elevated. Our room had a king-size bed that was extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a big difference in the Paraguay heat. We were in a quiet end room with doors that opened directly to the courtyard and pool, which created a calm, private atmosphere that felt more like a retreat than a hotel. Breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious every morning. We also had dinner there multiple nights, and every meal was fresh, well-prepared, and consistently excellent. You could tell real care went into the food. What truly made this place special was the staff. It’s a smaller, more intimate hotel, and the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. The level of service felt personal without ever being overbearing. The property is beautiful. The pool, garden, and courtyard create a quiet oasis away from the city, while still being close to everything you need. One of my favorite spots was the upper-level deck with a relaxed, tiki-style feel and two hammocks. I spent a lot of time there, and it became my favorite place to unwind. We came to Asunción for residency and to explore the city, and this hotel made the entire experience even better. It truly felt like a home away from home. We even joked about moving in permanently.
