Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is unique opportunity to stay in a historic former family home of a wealthy family. Most of us would never have a chance to stay in such a place. It is also beautifully located. The horseback ride was spectacular and very comfortable for a novice rider. The staff were incredibly kind as everyone seems to be in Cafayate. Brush up on your Spanish though!

Negative: While the family has been kind enough to open up the home as a hotel, they really need to spend whatever it costs to get the pool functional. The pool would be a great feature but the filters are not operating and it is dirty and even after cleaning there is debris on the bottom. The water was at least clear but it’s not acceptable in its current state.
