Summary: You may wonder about the 4 star rating.... let me explain. First of all, the house is lovely. The outside living is spectacular! The pictures are very accurate. The host, Vanda, is fantastic. she communicated very well with us. Had someone there to greet us even with our very late flight. Had someone there to take the keys when we left. She was very attentive. Gave us a great name of someone to help with our adventures to the falls while we were there. She had snacks ready for us when we arrived. All of that was superb! So why the 4-star rating?..... There was a couple of problems that to some people may seem minor but for me they were more than inconvenient. The home was clean for the most part.... but my daughter found a used hair brush full of hair under her pillow. It was disgusting and made or very uncomfotable sleep. It was cold in Iguacu Falls while we were there. The home did not have heat (that we could find.... I'm sure in Brazil you rarely need it), but the home was cold at night. We didn't have enough bedding. Our beds consisted of a bottom sheet and a thin blanket only. With the hair brush incident, and no making of beds with a top sheet or comforter.... there was dust particles on the bottom sheet (little lints etc,) that made it so we really didn't want to sleep on the beds....wondering if they were freshly washed or not. plus we froze at night. We all slept in sweats and jackets but were still cold with no bedding provided. The towels that were provided were very thin and very little. It was hard to get your body completely dry. I figured this was a Brazil thing.... but our two other vrbo's we used for our vacation had big thick fluffy towels that dried our full body. There was no filtered water in the home which was inconvenient. Our other places offered that. The electricity went out a few times- again i thought probably a Brazil thing, but it didn't happen in our other places. And we lost water on two occasions, once in the middle of a shower... and mind you it was cold so that made it more cold. Vanda responded to our calls quickly and told us how to restore the water but it was late at night and inconvenient to go outside in the cold with flashlights to restore the water. The place felt like a lived in home that was vacated for a few days while we moved in. So all in all.... the house is lovely. Vanda is great. If these few things could be fixed this would be a terrific VRBO.
