Positive: Probably one of the most beautiful locations in the world - can’t get any closer to the rainforest! Nice hikes and bathing spots nearby. Great drinking water directly from the river. Wonderful host (Susanna) who made us feel very welcome and lives nearby in case there are any issues.

Negative: Not a dislike but additional info: You have to be comfortable with (sometimes dangerous) jungle insects and animals. Don’t touch anything you’re not familiar with and heed the warning signs posted by the host. As long as you stay alert you will be fine :) To preserve the views there are no guardrails on the porch outside your chalet or the terrace area by the kitchen. Be careful not to get distracted and fall off the edge! We had no electricity during our stay due to a power outage affecting the whole area which was not our hosts fault. We still had hot water and we could cook on the gas stovetop. However, be aware that outages can happen, particularly after storms and bring your headlamps to navigate safely in the dark.

Summary: Truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve been in our lives!
