Positive: This is a very simple accommodation in an excellent location right by the Port of Manaus and Mercado Adolfo Lisboa. Security for the building is excellent, with 24 hour doorman service. The location has everything you could possibly need during the day.

Negative: The area could be a little full-on for some travelers. There are lots of street vendors and the surrounding area is full of people of all kinds, including the homeless and other unsavory types. While I didn't necessarily feel unsafe, you must definitely be aware of your surroundings here. The one thing missing from the area was a lack of laundry services. Even though the accommodation is billed as an apartment, it was equipped more like a hotel room, but this was not really a problem except at night when everything around it was essentially closed. This is also not an area you would want to walk in during the night, so you might want to have food delivered or use a car to go out for dinner.
